This Privacy Policy explains how Shopix collects, uses, stores, and shares personal and business information when Store owners use the Shopix platform and when customers place orders or submit refund-related information through a Shopix-powered online store.
2) Information We Collect
- Store Account Information: name, email address, phone number, login details, verification data, and account activity.
- Business Information: business name, Store link, logo, address, contact details, bank accounts, payment settings, subscription information, payout settings, and Store configuration.
- Store Content: product names, images, prices, descriptions, categories, offers, policies, reviews, marketing content, and other materials uploaded by Store owners.
- Customer Order Information: customer name, phone number, email address, delivery information, order items, notes, uploaded reference files or payment receipts, selected payment method, order status history, and cancellation or refund status data.
- Refund And Payout Information: refund-request reasons, refund proof images, customer refund bank details for eligible non-card refund requests, Store review notes, payout requests, payout fee calculations, on-hold card balances, and payout bank account selections.
- Technical Information: IP address, approximate location, browser type, device information, cookies or local storage data, logs, and other usage or diagnostic information.
- Support And Communication Data: emails, messages, inquiries, or feedback sent to Shopix.
3) How We Use Information
- To create and manage Store accounts and storefronts.
- To process, display, route, and track customer orders for the relevant Store.
- To support payments, payment verification workflows, payout requests, receipts, refund request handling, notifications, and order communications.
- To support the 7-day refund request workflow, including collecting item-level reasons, proof, and eligible bank details for manual refunds.
- To calculate on-hold and withdrawable balances for eligible card payments and to support payout review, reconciliation, and fraud controls.
- To provide customer support, technical support, onboarding, and account assistance.
- To monitor usage, maintain security, prevent fraud, automate eligible refund actions, reduce financial loss, and improve platform reliability and performance.
- To send service updates, billing notices, security alerts, refund updates, and other important platform communications.
4) How Store And Customer Data Is Shared
- With The Store: Customer order information is shared with the Store whose storefront the customer used, so the Store can fulfill and manage the order. This may include refund-request reasons, proof images, and customer bank details where needed for a manual non-card refund approved by the Store.
- With Service Providers: Shopix uses third-party providers for hosting, storage, analytics, messaging, email delivery, infrastructure, and related services.
- For Legal Or Safety Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or where reasonably necessary to protect Shopix, Stores, customers, or the public.
- For Payment Workflows: Payment-related information may be shared with payment processors, banks, or technical service providers where needed to support the selected payment method, payout request, payout review, or eligible automated refund flow.
5) Payment Information
If a Store enables online card payments or other digital payment services, payment processing may involve third-party providers. Shopix may receive transaction status, confirmation details, refund-related status, payout-related references, limited payer metadata, and supporting identifiers necessary to support the order workflow, Shopix billing, payout controls, and fraud prevention. Shopix does not claim ownership over a Store's revenue or customer relationships.
6) Cookies, Local Storage, And Similar Technologies
Shopix may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, support carts and checkout flows, remember preferences, preserve order verification state, improve performance, and maintain security.
7) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain records, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of Shopix. Store owners may request account deletion, but some records may be retained where required for legitimate business, accounting, payout, fraud-prevention, refund-reconciliation, or legal reasons.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9) Store Responsibilities For Customer Data
Store owners are responsible for how they handle customer data received through Shopix, including order details, contact information, uploaded files, refund-request details, bank details shared for a manual refund, and communications. Store owners must use customer data only for legitimate business purposes related to fulfilling and managing orders unless they have another lawful basis to do otherwise.
10) Your Choices
- Store owners can update many business details, storefront settings, and account information inside the dashboard.
- Customers should contact the relevant Store directly for order-specific changes, delivery questions, and refund or return discussions, except where Shopix handles an eligible automated payment action through the platform.
- Users may contact Shopix regarding privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, subject to legal and operational limitations.
11) Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Shopix after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
